Synchro 4.3 Improves Performance, Scale, P6 Integration and 3D Views.

May 3, 2011 Birmingham, UK -- Synchro announced the new release of its Professional 4.3 software for 4D construction simulation modelling, scheduling and planning.

"Wow. That's all I have to say. Synchro definitely nailed it on the head with this one," said Daniel Fahmi of Hunt Construction Company, a Synchro Beta Tester and Synchro Blogger. "Graphics have improved big time. Once everything is finally loaded, there is no lag whatsoever. I don't know how to explain the speed but it's freakin' fast… It's faster than I ever expected."

In addition to its faster speed, Professional 4.3 significantly has been designed for higher performance in its integration with Oracle | Primavera's P6 ™.

· Fast navigation over 3D scenes using static mode rendering

· Fast scrolling of Gantt chart for drastically changed scenes

· AVI Export improvements and acceleration (possibility to use DirectX on AVI generation, hardware anti-aliasing)

· Effective subdivision using advanced Boolean operation library

3D Import Improvements:

· Ability to recognize the scale and units of DWF, DGN and Sketchup models

· Improved texture quality and compression

· Improved DGN importer

· Google SketchUp 8 support

· AutoCAD 2011 DWG support

New CAD File Import Support:

· ACIS SAT format support (for integration with InterGraph)

· SolidWorks 2011 support

General Improvements:

· Light position control feature

· Synchronisation of P6 projects using Activity IDs, useful for synchronization with copy of P6 project in the same or another PMDB

· Matching by explicit naming patterns (implemented as Find All for resources and tasks)

· Accelerate "Filters by Activity Codes" GUI

· Rescheduling after change relationship lags

· Ability to resize Gantt Duration & Timeline in AVI Output

· Add Hours Minutes to AVI Focus Time

· Focused Time Play Speed in Minutes

· Options to skip invisible geometry and 2D (wireframe) geometry on import

· 3D subdivision improvements

· Unassign 3D item from all tasks

· 3D Edit as Assigned improvements

· Change first day of week

· New Baseline Start/Finish columns in Task View

· IFC Import of the assignments of not leaf resources to the Task

· 3D and Task filters by User Fields

· Possibility to add activity codes to started/finished tasks

· Deep copy of tasks

· Copy links within selection

· More robust auto-rescheduling algorithms

· Make printed legend information to be persistent as project data

· Excel import under x64 (on availability of ODBC drivers)

· Collapse/Expand Resource/3D trees by Left/Right arrow keys

· F2 to "edit cell"

· Improved navigation in Task View using keyboard: Shift-Tab: moves to left, Ctrl-Up: moves to first task, Ctrl-Down: moves to last task, Ctrl-Tab: indents task, Crtl-Shift-Tab: outdents task, Shift-Mousewheel: scrolls Task View horizontally
