Additional Information
  • For the latest requirements and installation notes, refer to the README.RTF file in the Synchro Server installation directory.
  • To provide the most secure and stable environment, it is recommended that the latest service packs and drivers are applied to any machines running Synchro
  • RAID disks are recommended because of their resilience and low access times (write and data seek times).
  • To provide the most secure and stable environment, it is recommended that the latest service packs and drivers are applied to any machines running the Synchro Server.
  • Note that the Synchro Server creates checkpoint files (full serialisations of all project information) in the project directory based on user defined configuration settings.

Depending on your configuration setting, large amounts of project information can build up very quickly.
  • When connecting to the Synchro Server, Synchro clients will require access to the Synchro Server on a TCP port specified in the Synchro Server configuration (defaulted to 1200). Any network devices that provide security (such as firewalls, routers etc) will need to be configured to allow communication between Synchro clients and the Synchro Server on this port.
  • Bandwidth requirements are modest for the vast majority of transactions (in the order of a few Kb/transaction multiplied by the number of concurrent users).

However, whilst the data streams are highly compressed, initial downloads and the importation of large 3D models can have greater bandwidth requirements, wholly dependent on the amount of 3D data being downloaded/imported.
